Happy new year readers!

It’s been such a wonderful year for Manila Touch, as we’re now the number one spa directory in the Philippines! So thank you everyone who contributed a lot last 2011. We’ve seen the shortest and longest stories of spa experience, some being the meanest. Some comments seemed too much of “marketing” that we’ve observed it’s actually the owners of the spa, some promoting themselves.

Overall, the heat was intense. We’re not closing the 2011 thread so you can continue with what you’ve started there.

But for those who have the latest reviews for this year, bid goodbye to 2011 Best Masseur Recommendations in Manila… the debate has begun for the best spa and masseur recommendations in Manila for 2012!

Spa lovers, commence!

  19. after 3 days of satisfied massages in lotus in my 4th visit i was so disappointed. Dave was supposed to be my masseur then after 15 mins ibang masahista pumasok sa room.. and worst wala kwenta!!! nagmamadali, dighay ng dighay, naka 5 labas ata nun minamasahe ako. dont ever try rod ba un.. tapos after masahe sasabihin nya talga sayo

“sir bigyan nyo ako tip ha”

  20. Went to Alabang Spa. The place is not very well kept. Massage was so-so and he was supposed to be their best. Disappointing experience. Never going back. In fact, I did not finish my massage.

headed for Hidden right after. As soon as I entered, dirty. I left.

  21. lotus spa is one of the best so far here in south. .and the only spa dito na hindi sa floor. may bed sila 🙂 okey din parking

    • i wish to disagree! when did a spa become best kung wala naman shower rooms to cleanse? patabo-tabo ba ang best spa?

Ang dumi ng lugar! sa entry pa lang nakakaloka na sa dumi! ang inggay ng kusina katabi ng massage room. anu ba yan?

let’s open our eyes and be honest with our comments, that is misleading, your honor!

      • can you give me any spa na may bed here in the South? well im just saying my exp DUH! well nung pumunta ako wala naman ako naririnig na kusina or maingay.. and definitely mas malinis even the linens compare to hidden, blu zen, spartan, alabang spa, trivium, verde and 8strokes.

if you can recommend much better place na hindi ko pa namention go on.. para matry.. as of now, lotus ang best dyan sa mga sinabi ko. been there thrice already wala naman ako masabi pangit.

baka sabihin mo im connected with the spa, tara sabay pa tau magpamasahe

TO DAVE thanks for accomodating yesterday. sayang nakareserve ka next week ulit

  23. @Nurse chad, Noted. Splendid reaction you have there!

I am a client and I have the right to air any of my observations, which in fact is the objective of this blog site. If it may not conform to others that is their problem not mine. I am not condescending any spa in this area because I own my opinion. No one can coerce my mind- I can stand by it. I know what I want, I know what makes me happy, I know my line of reasoning and I know how to spend my well-earned money’s worth for my health, for my whims and even for my fancy!

I plunge my commentaries worth so others readers may know and so entrepreneurs like you can be aware of the market pulse. By all means, I look forwards to your plans and may reach them soon.

By the way, Nurse Chad, aren’t we supposed to be globally mannered on-line by now? Is there still hope for some minute crap of humanity who cannot abstain from dissolutions and incongruous arguments reflecting his near to the ground sensibilities, low-down reading comprehension, totally an impression of a vulgar breed from the gutters of the dark diabolical world?

Pleaeeease lang, think before you click sabi nga ng GMA 7!!!!!

    • if you do not like the place, move on to another one. there are a lot of choices. go to 5-star spas to satisfy your “good” taste. highfalutin words could be used for other purposes other than belittling another person’s business. tending to show off or hold oneself in high regard is bad manners

  24. @contagious,
I am very sorry to hear your concern sir and we appreciate your personal thought but i want to clarify that i did not mention any flowery words specifically in our facility and the appearance of our humble clinic just to entice you in fact i mentioned “we are not a high end spa but we are aiming one”. we are just new in business give us a chance to grow. I just wrote the facts “what makes our clinic unique”. We may not entice you in terms of the design and space but i assure you that our area are well disinfected and the linens are clean.

Sir we just rented the small space not the whole building so please do not judge us kung hindi po namemaintained ng maayos ng lessee and other tenants ang building na malinis and nasa main road po kame kaya there is a chance na magkaroon po ng “grimmy corridor” sa labas ng clinic though we do have plans to transfer to a better place.

In terms of vaccination, as a health care provider, prevention is better than cure and one way of protecting ourselves is through vaccination. A vaccine can be given anywhere as long as you maintain the right temperature. This is one way of promoting health and awareness that is why we offer it in our clinic. We offer it because we know how to do it and we have costumers who ordered these shots at a cheaper price in comparison with the hospital rate. “Wellness and Health should be for all”

Being great doesn’t mean having the best appearance. We invest on our therapist so they can provide quality massage. You may not be satisfied but evaluation tools signed by clients reveals 95% of them are happy with our service.

With these, we are happy to serve more clients and aiming to have a better and more appealing place for you to stay. thank you for your constructive criticism sir.

    @ Jakoo
Thank you for your support and comment but sir please refrain from saying “bad things” to others. We cannot please everybody but the mere fact that you are happy with us. Its enough sir.
Soon we will renovate the main branch, hope you could visit often. have a great night sir jakoo. God bless

  25. I’m currently accepting almost all the comments, but please keep the cool everyone. Readers would love to hear your “recommendations”, and not condemnations and discouragement.

    Have a good day readers!

    -Manila Touch

  26. i can’t help but react sa mga siraan dito. if you want a legitimate and relaxing massage, go to spa at the malls. i have been a client of the spa at the mall for some time, body tune in particular and i must say they are have very good and trained masseuse (sorry no masseur) but they have higher prices compared to other spas here. bottomline is, it’s up to you to decide if you want a relaxing masage or not.

  27. In addition, most of our clients are professionals, so make sure that their most precious cars are safely protected. We have a good parking area with guard on duty

(Please be advised that we accept walk-in but we prioritized reserved clients. Call or text us @ 0917-456-03-48/ 220-0941).

    • Sa totoo lang, I wish the Spas in alabang, las pinas, paranaque go back to make-over its wellness mission. kaya nga lang the hasty attempts of spa owners to immerse untrained receptionists, incompetent therapists and simulated aesthetic services has led to the deterioration of the industry.

Ginagawang practicing dummy ng mga masahista ang cliente in his expense. Unfair!

Psuedo-spas like these should re-align and re-strategize their operations this year in terms of training staff or space makeover. Attention Hidden spa, Verde spa, Spada, 8Strokes and the Lotus spa, for better business and costumer service, please naman have decent toilet and bath facilities, please disinfect your spaces, please be accurate to advertising, please position your extra services as added bonus not as your banner product, be discreet naman. Leave the pleasurable experiences for your clients to share rather you irresponsibly campaigning it in disguise. Please be true to the real essence of a spa experience. D pa ba kayo naiinspection ng Health dept? o hihintayin pa ba natin ang media- Imbestigador, Scene of the Crime o Aksyon para bulabugin ang kamalian ninyo?

tama na ang away, tama naman ang mga reactions ni infectious!

  28. Oh please, anyone with logic and reasoning skills will be able to figure out starting a first sentence with what “magaling na spa” means. One thing I really want to see die is “magaling but not that good for relaxation, masahing bading ang alam nila” or “pampalibog with classs” Ano un? Maayos ba o hindi?

Maybe that massage style makes Lyndon happy, then “masahing bading” is what he wants or “pampalibog” is spaddicts’ primary preference. If the noise brings unhappiness, maybe the massage center is not his idea of a spa after all. Hence, we learn from what we experienced.

I have frequented gay spas in the Asian region the likes of Bangkok, Hongkong, Singapore and in Shanghai. Being there, I have learned how to tell if the place is serious about the spa business. If you’ve never been to a real good gay spa joint before, the best way to start narrowing down your choices is to start asking questions for your safety and satisfaction.

If you walk into a spa and you are not greeted with a smile or if you see that the spa is dirty or you don’t feel comfortable for any reason, those are excuses to walk out. The first rule is cleanliness; it’s got to be spotlessly clean. The sheets on the massage table or a facial chair need to be changed after every client. If you have any inkling that this is not a clean place, walk away. We have seen joints that are descript and in disguise as performing spas: Phoenix, 8trokes, Equanimity, Magic Touch, Lotus, Lakan and Datu; Spada does not even have the decency to give fresh towels and linens, they recycle them. If their reception lights are too dim, almost like a gay bar, the place is sure to be horribly dirty like Massaji and 8Strokes.
Another hallmark of a good spa establishment is membership in a spa association usually marked with an accreditation emblem. It assures that this spa is serious about what they are doing, serious about their business and has been in business for quite a while or plans to be in business for quite a while. We know massage therapists and aestheticians in Wenshia, Amistad, New York Spa, South Bay try upgrade their attendants with required trainings from TESDA; they police and reprimand abusive attendants & secure regular medical examinations for their attendants by a physician.
Another idea to keep in mind when choosing a spa is what kind of spa experience you’re looking for. A day spa is where you go for several hours with real honest-to- goodness treatments or would you choose a massage center just for a back rub with a happy ending… whatever or wherever you choose to go, a spa’s purpose is to create a stress-free, nurturing environment and maybe a combination of both for some.

Surely, spas are everywhere now; they are definitely become middle-of-the-road.

  29. Spaadict cno magaling sa 8 stroke? Tried lotus spa last night, ang init at ang ingay ang spa , nagasgasan pa ang car ko. Kung cno gumawa? Mag trabajo ka para makabili ka ng high end car mo. Malinis naman ang lotus but not that good for relaxation, masahing bading ang alam nila. Not all spa goer ay gay guy.

    • Try alabang spa, safe ang car mo sa mata ng tao. Tago ang lugar, clean at professional abg may ari. Dating boss ni dave bakla ang alabang spa. Try joebert african massage . The best ang masahi at ang masshista. Joebert is gay guy,pro he is nice at mabaet,de tulad ni dave ng ubod ng yabang.
