As we all know, there are already a couple of massage parlors and spas around Metro Manila. Here in Las Pinas, around 5 to 6 just opened this year. Catering everyone starting from a spa with all male masseurs, to all female masseuse, serving to mostly all male clients.
And everyone has their own preference too. I prefer a good hard massage myself. Some like it moderate, others would like it even soft.
According to Manila Touch’s 4-month existence, a review of the spa is often centralized by the quality of the staff and especially, the therapists. Like most of the people do, they would stick on a certain therapist, even if he or she transfers to another spa establishment.
Now, let’s bring this topic down the line. Say what.. is the best spa with the best therapists in Manila? or Who is the best therapist for you and from what spa?

I’ve always been going to R Oriental Spa along Arnaiz Street, Makati near SLEX for several years now since it is just nearby my place. I can’t say it’s the perfect spa for me but it is not bad at all. Therapists there come and go and you just have to try them all and from there you can choose your “suki.” As of now, Roland is good. From an average kind of service, he took to heart all my comments and suggestions. What do you know, the next time I got him, he improved a lot. And he remembered all that I told him before. He looks good and neat and is very friendly so it’s worth it getting him for repeats. Basic cost of massage is P250. Btw, there’s a sign in every cubicle that says “Clean Massage Only.” Place is tidy enough, not too much noise coming in from the busy street (at night though) but the cubicle could use some more space and the bath needs some sprucing up. Reception staff is courteous. Will definitely continue going back there.

I’ve been always looking for a masseur who does not only rub but can really remove the tension in the body. Last night I hit the jackpot.
After a rough day at work, I went to Lotus Spa at Las Pinas to relax. It was my third time there last night. The massage room were small and dark, (like the usual) and there really is nothing much to expect from the place but the services. I already had a masseur in mind but it was his day-off. (sigh…) So I had a new one but it was worth it.
I admit I’m a picky customer. I really don’t like masseurs who just rub, but Anton, was different. He really know what he was doing. By the time he was doing my back, he was able to recognize the tension on my back and (man he gave it a good rubbing until it was gone) he made it go away without me giving instructions. I asked him if he was a born masseur or a trained one (just to confirm because those hands knows how to find tension points.) I’ve been asking this question to a lot but he gave me an answer I did not expect., “Alam na po iyan ng therapist kung lamig o hindi.” Winner!!!
Of all the male masseurs I had, he was the only one who truly relieved me from the stress on my back.
Enough with words, just experience it yourself.
Piece of advice lang: I have my own standards of a good massage. We may not have the same but I know a good massage since I’ve worked my way through college being a masseur.

1. Hilom – maganda ambience, pangit ang cubicles, mattress sa lapag, mahal ng masahe, mahal ng es, line up di ganong kael.
2. Coco Spa – tigas ng kama, di ka papipiliin, maliit ang cubicle, mahal ang es
3. HeVenly Touch – madumimang lugar, makalat ang mga masahista, ok ang line up pwedeng mamili, quality looks and body, natry ko ok naman pati es price abot kaya, di ganong marunong magmasahe
4. Spa Manoli – Super Clean Massage, the best massage, mainit lang ung waiting room/bathroom, walang shower divider, see thru curtains sa cubicle, walang es dito legit ito pero babalik balikan mo and 300 na massage na sobrang sarap

Bakit ba andaming massage parlor sa las pinas at paranaque? I recently tried White Palace Spa in Paranaque. I was received by a nice gay, bald chubby guy who i guess was the owner. I was curious because this spa occupied the leader board of Manila Touch. I tried the sgnature massage and i won’t tell anymore the name of the masseur. I’ve tried the SOLITUDE SPA in cubao as well,,it was a different experience. I felt like that im in my own home having a good massage. I went their dawn, around 2:30am, from a gimmick with friends.The spa is a bit small but the people and staff are accommodating and friendly. I enjoyed my 2hrs scrub and massage. Try it!

There’s a new spa in Harvard corner Columbia street, Cubao named Solitude. I tried it last Friday. The staff were so friendly they offered hot tea upon entry. They offered hot shower before massage. The masseur I got (N__o) was well trained. He gave me a good massage and ….Overall the place was very clean and staff were courteous it was indeed a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lotus spa las pinas, at 200/ hour , sulit, ang galing ni bryan. Bryan is not a looker but, he is the best masseur i tried in my 10 yrs spa goer. Nice and clean place, friendly owner dave , ex verde spa massuer. Seen at that time is mr. Jayson, the receptionist of verde spa pasay as a massuer . Puno ang parking space ng lotus , clients are waiting for available rooms. While verde las pinas adjucent blg, no car was park at the verde parking area, means zero client at that pick hour around 10 pm. Mukhang mag sasara ang verde spa las pinas bec of lotus spa of mr. Dave.

I only have a massage every time I am very exhausted from work stress. If I am in the south, I had the habit to get to Verde at the time they were new and sparkling clean. Primarily it is because of its accessibility to my place. However, lately the joint started to wane and seemed very tired- both in spa maintenance and in therapist’s culture.
Since day one, every time i get a body wash, i was always offered ES which i perennially declined. In addition, towards the onset of my front body massage, i never missed to be offered the second time and mind you, in a much lower price. Again, I would refuse and demand for my 1hour service to get done. Most often, I would resist most especially if the therapist is not my cup of tea. And when that happens, the masseur would scamper to finish line in a very rude manner. Nevertheless, i do not react and instead give him a tip which is legally correct as a revenge- 12% of the my bill!
In the last visit i made, three weeks past, I was refused to be tendered service by any of their male or female masseur. Maybe it is due to my reputation to resist all invitation for ES!
For whatever their reason is, I don’t find the act justifiable? Verde Spa attendants are a pain in the ass! I will never speak good of their attendants there!

Nurmisuari, are you referring to King Chula Spa along Maceda? I live within the area but I haven’t tried their services yet. They have male therapists, that’s for sure. It’s a little weird though because they have a bar right beside the spa which I think caters to gay people.
I agree with the reviews about Spa Manoli. I got scared when I went there for the first time because the lights were a little too dim for me. Good thing I went there with a friend. Anyway, the place has nice ambience. The massage was really good. It was sensual but it didn’t lead to anything sexual. I recommend Spa Manoli too.

Hi guys! Been reading thru the thread and i noticed that most of the spas you recommend are located south of manila. I am from Mandaluyong and im looking for a good masseur that i can hire for home service. Not very keen on going to spas(no offense meant). Do you have any recommendations that is near my area? I’ve already spent a lot hiring from the spas advertised in the web but they are no good and most of the masseurs are not so tidy looking. Would really appreciate your recommendations based from your experiences. Thanks!

hi to all readers if I wear you I will not to go hidden spa its very very madumi and magmumuhakha pa kayong cheap as I’ve heard na raid nga daw itong Spa na to for the reason na may mga sakit daw ang mga therapist nila for they do not have health permit for there therapist…. if I were you ill go to a ligetimate Spas in Buendia na malinis Like Verde and Spada and others who offers good sevices hindi lang basta nagpa masahe ka dahil mura at least safe ka for skin deases like herpes….. malinis at good service talaga

I just tried Spa Manoli and it was great quality massage. Super galing nang masahe.
Gwapo mga massuer and they really concentrate on the quality of the massage at super linis nang spa nila. Their theme is black. They are clean massage.
Try nyo. Recommend ko talaga.

today, i had a nice time at alabang spa…the place was awesome and my masseur was also very nice and he knows exactly his job as masseur…the only thing that i don’t feel ok was the massage area, it’s so small, i have to step on the bed just to undress and dress after the session. Try to change your towel, colored and printed. it doesn’t look professional…change with all white towel. also, hot towel is also old, faded and torn…i hope, the next time i’ll visit…it’s all new and fresh towel.

I live in Ortigas though I own a flat in Pasay. I’ve been to three massage spa centers and here are my brief thoughts (no pun/harm intended):
1. R ORIENTAL – Very accommodating staff (esp. the customer service representative, the woman who entertains the inquiries) and mostly “competent” masseurs. (The best: Paul, for his intricate and sensitive strokes esp. for moderate or hard massage lovers. Mark is new, so his massage is weak. As for ES, I don’t know. I’m not into it.) RATING: 3/5
2. CICADA – I’ve been there since July 2009, and I do concur with the rumors about the behavior of many masseurs: “signals” in the form of sensual massage to “awaken the senses”. The last time that I had a masseur from the place was on August 2010 (he’s the sixth), and I politely rejected his “offer”. Skills-wise, they (referring to the six masseurs) need more training. RATING: 1/5
3. ZERIA – Surprisingly, this Sunvar Plaza, Pasong Tamo (at the back of Makati Square) based spa isn’t in the Manila Touch directory (for reasons that are unknown to me). I tried a masseur last September 2010 and he was skilled; no ES signs, just pure massage. He was my choice for four consecutive sessions (September to November) until his resignation (which is beknownst to me). The place needs a fix in terms of decors, lighting (poorly lit) and smelly beds. Customer service-wise, the counter girl/boy/gay (three different persons on three separate occasions) were friendly. RATING: 2/5

Hi, it’s nice to know that we’re on the same page. I fully agree with you in terms of feedback. I myself have been with the spa since October, 2010 and until now, I find going to this spa worthwile. Mark resigned from the spa last week to give way to his new job in the call centre industry. Paul is really good and his skills are remarkable.

There is this new masseur over at Amistad who goes by the name of Brian and who gave me the most sensual massage that I have ever had from this spa. Tall and quite a looker too. Had it been that I am not as prim and proper as I am, I would have totally lost it and gave him a rubdown to equal what he is doing on me. While their other masseurs start their maneuvers to tickle your sensitive spot when they hit your thighs, he starts going sensual right after the first stretch as he applies long strokes from the tip of your toes that goes all the way up to the blades of your shoulder. Without doubt, you feel that your body is being made love to. And then he shifts your lower extremities one at a time to the frog leg. His reach goes up about and down under, naughtily bringing the tips of his fingers ever so close to your jewels but holds back at just the right time, forcing a deep sigh on your part. I think I found myself a new regular.

try nyo rin sa cosmic serene spa, sa pacific regency condominium, along vito cruz st., malate, sa tapat ng rizal memorial stadium. sobrang tahimik ng place, although maliit pero masarap mag pa massage.

Really difficult to say. I have experienced getting one of the best massages from a masseur and recommended him to friends. Most agreed that he indeed gave a very good massage, but there was one who didn’t enjoy his massage at all, in fact gave very negative remarks. From then on I preferred not to give any recommendations.
Sometimes it really is just about chemistry between the masseur and the client. Much like when you sometimes meet a person for the first time and just by the look you immediately know if he will be a good friend or someone you will never get along with.
